Amy and Connor’s maternity session was untraditional, edgy and vintage. It was so fun to collaborate together to create something that was unique to them. With maternity, most people gravitate to a long pretty dress, but if that isn’t your vibe, do what feels like you! There are no rules. We started in their home with a casual boudoir session with their pup, Tucker. Last-minute we decided to do some photos using their records and record player. I love how they turned out. They just received the card “you will make great parents” that worked perfectly with the vintage and retro-inspired set.
Next, we headed to Golden Ears Provincial Park. This is literally in their back yard. We were surrounded by emerald green waters and snow-capped mountains. We hung up a sheet to some trees for another backdrop option. Here we did a few different looks, incorporating different jackets on Amy and later throwing on a dress for fun for some last few shots. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and I hope this session can inspire you to think outside of the box as to what maternity (and any session) can be.
